Chase is an easy person to get along with. As she is the editor of The Daily Prophet. So she is used to being bossy. And getting things the way that she wants. Because she only wants the best for the newspaper. Since she knows how important to her readers. Chocolate is one of her love. She has to watch how much she eats of it. Since she wants to keep her figure. As of right now, her job is her only relationship. Since she was all about her job. The family is another thing that is important to her. Because she wouldn't be where she is without her parents.

Since they are always supporting her. Chase hates when people think that she is a guy because of her name. It wasn't her fault that her parents named her Chase. But she liked that she would never be confused with another girl. And she hates readers who send hate mail because of the articles that she publish in the prophet. Because she doesn't cater to all of their wishes. And she knows that not everybody will agree with what she does.

Chase has a Yorkie puppy named Duchess. Since she doesn't really date, her puppy means everything. So that when she goes home she isn't lonely. She knows her parents want her to meet more guys. But it seems most of them are dickheads. And they aren't really worth her time or even her effort. There are things that she knew her mother wanted. For her to find a guy and get married. Because it was the same thing that all mothers wanted. And she knew that her parents wanted a grandchild soon. But she wasn't going to put any pressure on herself. Running The Daily Prophet was a major one.

Chase is usually good under pressure. Since she has to meet her deadlines for the paper. And it was because it was something that had to be done. The Daily Prophet was something that was well known. And she had a boss above her, so if she wanted to keep her job. She had to make sure that nothing but the best work would come to her. And finding stories wasn't that hard. Sometimes it was easy to find gossip. But there would be pieces where it was important news. And the wizarding world was counting on her. To bring them what was happening.

General History:
Chase was born to Alan and Katrina Dourse. Yes, they named her Chase even though she was a girl.  She remembered when people would ask her name and say that it was a boy name. It was something that she would just have to live with. After a while, it stopped bothering her. As she thought that she was unique. Because there were no other girls with that name. And she wouldn't be confused with someone else. She was a normal girl beside the part with her name being Chase.

When she was eleven she got her letter to Hogwarts. She was sorted into Slytherin. People quickly learned not to make fun of her name. There were many noses that she had broken. But she liked to think that it was her way of growth. Even if it didn't make sense at the time. When she was in school she did her best to keep good marks. But she knew that she was far from perfect. But was always part of the big fashion scene. Also was known for getting the latest gossip.

When she was done with school, she had no idea what she wanted to do with her life. So she finally ended up going to University. Which she did something in journalism. As she found out that was something that she loved. After she was done with the many years she had in school. She got a job at The Daily Prophet. And she was started at the bottom. She was known as the assistant before they would even give her a chance. This was before she became a reporter. Making everybody know her name. Then one day she made it to the top.

She was now the editor of The Daily Prophet. At least she could say that she clawed her way from the bottom to the top. Which it took a lot of hard work. And giving up on her social life as she didn't think she had one anymore. Since her job was something that mattered to her. Expect her parents and her puppy. Now she could sit back and enjoy as she watched everybody who used to make fun of her regret everything. She wanted to make sure that everybody knew Chase Aubrey Dourse.

The Dourse are just a regular half-blood family. They taught Chase to not judge people. Even though they gave her a boy's name. But they thought that it would give her some character. Actually, they weren't even sure why. But the loved watching Chase as she was growing up. And how she was now the editor of The Daily Prophet. Even though they were hoping that she would follow their footsteps and be a healer. But she was one to march to the beat of her own drum.
