School was back in session and classes had begun. James was already hoping for the end of the year. It was proving to be just as boring as his last four years, nothing interesting really happening. He’d already gotten detention this year, nothing new there, and he’d left it like he did the other years: laughing with his friends, plotting their next prank. James was still coming up with ideas, most of them involving objects he didn’t exactly have at the moment and might take sometime to get, but they would arrive eventually.
Currently, he was heading to Care of Magical Creatures. His grades in that class the last two years he has taken it were okay, not great but not bad, either. He was planning on keeping it about average this year as well. Since he wasn’t planning on pursuing a career with creatures, he didn’t need to get good grades in it. James was really only in it because he needed two electives and none of the other ones interested him.
As he got closer to where the class took place, he could see the Hippogriffs behind the professor. “They’re Hippogriffs,” James replied. “They’re really sweet creatures as long as you know how to handle them. They eat animals and other creatures, like insects and worms.”
